A crime scene remains in place on a residential street in Little Hulton this morning after gun shots were reportedly blasted at a house.
A cordon was first put in place on Aspinall Crescent, a street near to the Wharton Playing Fields, at around 9.30pm last night (Sunday) following the 'suspected firearms discharge'.
Greater Manchester Police said the shots were fired at a property. Police and paramedics raced to the scene. A man was rushed to hospital from the street with serious injuries. Police said there was 'no wider threat to the public' though patrols have been stepped up in the local area. An investigation into the suspected shooting is now underway.
