Guardiola has a year left on his current deal and is now into the final 12 months of said deal. Whether Guardiola will extend, and how City will cope if he doesn't, is a subject set to dominate the summer.

Al Mubarak spoke of the situation in his annual interview, saying: "This decision on his future is always a decision that we will take together, and I have no doubt that we will find, as always we have done, the right solution that works for Pep and works for us.” It is not only Guardiola who is the subject of speculation regarding exits.
