Cracking print takes top spot in Motherwell club's memorial trophy photography competition

The latest meeting of Motherwell Photographic Society saw the judging of the Hugh Shaw Memorial Trophy competition.Hugh Shaw was a member of the club for many years.

At a time when slides were a popular way of displaying photographs, Hugh particularly enjoyed printing his work.After he passed away Hugh’s family donated a trophy to the club that is competed for in a stand-alone print competition every year.

The judge for this year’s competition was documentary photographer Cameron Scott from Carluke Camera Club.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
