Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Wednesday during his daily evening press conference that both the city & the county are opening-up COVID-19 testing to all residents without restrictions. “Tonight, I am proud to announce that Los Angeles will become the first major city in America to offer large wide-scale testing to all of its residents, with or without symptoms,” Garcetti said.
Prior to today’s decision the thirty-four test sites in the city and county were only accepting testing for individuals who had symptoms, first responders, and critical essential front-line workers such as grocery store workers or taxi and ride-share workers.
