SANTA ANA, Calif.- Orange County Superior Judge Nathan Scott rejected a request from the cities of Huntington Beach and Dana Point Friday afternoon, whose officials had been seeking a temporary restraining order to keep beaches open, handing a victory to Governor Gavin Newsom.
Newsom had ordered the closure of all state and local beaches in Orange County on what had he termed a temporary basis Thursday during his daily noon COVID-19 press conference.
