Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

The country home where Prince Charles courted Princess Diana and visited his lover Camilla Parker Bowles is for sale for £3.75million.

Bolehyde Manor was home to the now Duchess of Cornwall when she was married to her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles. Prince Charles was a frequent visitor during, and even before, the breakdown of his marriage to Lady Diana Spencer.

But it was also a favoured destination when he was initially wooing Diana some years earlier. The sprawling, eight-bed property is now being sold by owners the Earl and Countess of Cairns, who paid £600,000 for it in 1986.

Camilla lived in the sprawling home from 1973 until 1986. And Bolehyde has another royal connection – the Duchess of Cambridge’s parents considered buying it
