But presenter Nick Hewer wasn't quite as composed and even asked contestant Pam to repeat herself to check he had heard correctly.
He then repeated the word again, before Susie Dent in the dictionary corner broke the awkward moment by saying "very good". The word in question was 'fetish', which ended up leaving the whole team muffling their giggles.
When the time came for Rachel, 34, to spell out the word she almost gave away a smile, before she turns back to face the camera straight-faced.
