A new base designed for children and young people officially opens its doors next week.The exciting new KA19 Youth Hub, in Maybole, will throw open its doors on the evening of Tuesday, June 11 - to coincide with the first United Nations Day of Play.The Youth Hub is the first ever dedicated building for young people in North Carrick.
Local young people have formed a Youth Board from Maybole and the North Carrick villages and chosen the name KA19 Hub.They are hosting the official opening and welcoming celebrities, including a sporting world champion, TV stars and a juggling magician from the Edinburgh Festival for a playful launch of the KA19 Hub.World and European Champion in Frame Running, Kayleigh Haggo, who hails from Maybole, and young TV stars, twins Cameron and Finlay and brother Archie Barclay, from This Farming Life, will cut the ribbon.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page with the sections that matter to you.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now on iOS and Android.Guests at the open evening will be entertained by The Juggler Gent, Matthew Kerr, magician and juggler who is a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe festival.There will be plenty of food and entertainment.
