North Lanarkshire Council has welcomed the approval of the next stage of exciting plans to replace University Hospital Monklands with a new landmark facility.
As reported by Lanarkshire Live, the Scottish Government has formally approved the outline business case for the new hospital at Wester Moffat and a full business case will now be developed and submitted for the Monklands Replacement Project.
The development of the new East Airdrie Link Road, allowing access to the site of the new hospital, was a key element in allowing the project to progress.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
