Coronation Street character Ryan Connor has had his fair share of drama in the Weatherfield soap since he was first seen on our screens back in 2006.But it isn't just the character who has undergone a series of big changes over the years - the actor playing the role has switched on numerous occasions too.With actor Ben Thompson playing the role from 2006 - 2010, then Sol Heras bringing Ryan to life between 2012 - 2013, it took a while for one performer to become symbolic with the role. Ryan joined Coronation Street in 2018 when new producer Kate Oates decided to bring the character back and chose to recast the role.

Having previously starred as Liam Slade in Doctors and Flynn Buchanan in Emmerdale he was no stranger to soaps when he was cast as Ryan.

Flynn was a love interest for Aaron Livesy with the pair meeting in a nightclub and romance blossoming between them.However, the romance came to an end rather swiftly when Flynn confessed he was still in love with his ex-boyfriend Jackson Walsh.Aaron ended the relationship leaving Flynn free to reconcile with Jackson.
