Catherine Tyldesley has revealed her baby daughter's name is Iris as she was photographed with the her adorable little one for the first time.The Eva Price actress spilled in an interview that Iris is a name she had picked out for years - ever since she had portrayed a character with that namesake in BBC drama Lilies.Iris Ella was born weighing 8lb two weeks after her due date at St Mary's in Manchester at 10.12pm last month.Catherine, 38, told HELLO!: "I've had the name Iris for years.
A while back, I played a character called Iris Moss in the BBC drama Lilies and I have loved it ever since then."The actress also revealed her child's middle name is Ella and is a tribute to Catherine's husband Tom Pitfield's late grandma, saying: "Iris Ella, it really works."Discussing her induced birth, in which she used hypnobirthing and meditation music, Catherine said: ""It was the same with Alfie, who was 15 days overdue."I had kind of hoped, as a second baby, that she might come quicker, but I had to be induced."The new mum told how there was slow progress in her labour before Iris arrived.She said: "Within minutes, she was born.
Even though it was super-fast and we were both in complete shock, it was a beautiful birth." Catherine and Tom, who also share seven-year-old son called Alfie, have had their baby's stem cells stored so they could use it to treat any future ailments or injury.Discussing having a second child, Catherine said: "I feel like we are so much more chilled with Iris than we were with Alfie.
