A coronavirus testing centre was set up in Salford in just 24 hours over the Easter weekend. The drive-through testing hub has been set up at the AJ Bell Stadium in Eccles.
Staff at centre will initially be able to take swab samples and run 120 tests a day - by appointment only. Results will be available within 72 hours.
At first, priority will be given to staff from Salford Royal Foundation Trust and health and social care staff - who are within the first five days of showing coronavirus symptoms, or who are self-isolating due to family members being unwell.
Loved ones who are also showing symptoms will be tested. Safe transport will be provided to the site for those who need it. The service will be run by Taxi Transfers, which uses closed
