Sky Sports customers will be allowed to pause their subscriptions without charge from today as part of plans to ensure customers don't lose out financially during the coronavirus outbreak.

It comes after a series of sporting fixtures were cancelled earlier this week - including the Premier League, which has been suspended until early April.

The England cricket tour to Sri Lanka has also been called off, and many other live sports that were due to be shown on Sky have been postponed, meaning many households faced the prospect of paying for a subscription without being able to watch the events they wanted to.
