The number of people who have died after contracting the coronavirus in Scotland has risen to 218, it has been announced this afternoon.That is an increase of 46 from yesterday.The figures have been published as part of the Scottish Government's daily update.In the Ayrshire and Arran region another 14 people have tested positive for coronavirus during the last 24 hours.The confirmation means that the total number of confirmed people with the deadly virus in the region has risen to 254.A total of 3,345 people have now tested positive in Scotland - a daily rise of 344.The UK death toll has risen to 4,313 after a further 708 died in the last 24 hours.It comes as more than 50,000 people across Scotland have signed up to offer help during the
