A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, consisting of a spitfire and a hurricane, will fly past the funeral of Dame Vera Lynn today.
Known as the Forces' Sweetheart for her efforts rallying the troops during the Second World War, Vera Lynn passed away on 18 June at the age of 103.
She will be laid to rest with a private funeral in Sussex. A cortege bearing her body will leave her home at 11:40am, and arrive in the village of Ditchling, where she lived, at midday.
It will pause to allow residents to pay their respects, before continuing onto Brighton, where the funeral will be held. Servicemen and women will line the route to the chapel, while a Royal Marines bugler will play music inside.
