Coronavirus death toll in Greater Manchester's hospitals rises by 55

coronavirus deaths in Greater Manchester's hospitals in the last 24 hours, with the highest numbers at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

Both of these trusts saw 18 new deaths overnight, according to official NHS figures released this afternoon.The Pennine Acute figures also include Covid deaths at North Manchester General as well as the Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield General.It means the region's death toll has increased from 3,324 on Wednesday to 3,379.Tameside and Salford's Trusts were next with five deaths each and both Stockport and Bolton's hospitals had two further deaths.Get the latest updates from across Greater Manchester direct to your inbox with the free.
