Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien was replaced by a knicker factory dummy for the soap’s first socially-distanced stunt. Her character Sarah Platt is chased down the street by killer ex-boyfriend Gary Windass and runs straight into the path of a car.Gary (Mikey North) pushes her out of the way and saves her life.
But he ends up on the car bonnet himself and has to be taken to hospital.Mikey was not allowed to touch Tina during the dramatic scenes because of the current Covid-19 filming restrictions.So a mannequin from the Underworld factory was used as her stand-in.Tina said: “The mannequin was dressed the same as me with a wig.
