Coronation Street is set to be rocked by more drama as the new month gets underway as the Platt family's beloved home will go up in flames in shocking scenes.

Fans of the ITV soap already know that David Platt is currently in the bad books of notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell. It's become clear in recent weeks that he is being sought out by Harvey's thugs after taking money which belonged to him, after it was offered to David's sister Sarah Platt by Harvey's brother Damon Hay.

At the end of last year, viewers saw that David was confronted by Radcliffe brothers Matty and Logan, but one is now behind bars for the brutal murder of their own sibling, Mason.

But David's troubles were far from over. Weeks after waving goodbye to his mother, Gail, David the dog was ran over and left for dead before being found by neighbour Michael Bailey, while Lily Platt was also handed a note by a stranger, which mentioned the stolen money.
