Coronation Street star Dame Maureen Lipman has issued a brutally honest verdict on what she thinks it's like to work on the show as she prepares to take a break.
In a new interview, the much-loved actress said "It's a tough job". Fans of the ITV soap are fond of the actress for playing the no-nonsense Evelyn Plummer having joined as Tyrone Dobbs' long-lost grandmother back in 2018.
However, it wasn't her first stint on the cobbles as she once appeared as snooty landlady Lillian Spencer for six episodes in 2002.
