Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank made an open admission about how he found watching himself on TV as his character was part of Weatherfield's first-ever successful gay wedding - while his co-star has been told they are 'too cute'.

During Monday night's episode of the ITV soap, viewers saw Billy Mayhew and Paul Foreman tie the knot. The couple, who have been dealt one of life's cruel cards as Paul was diagnosed earlier this year with Motor Neurone Disease, had the day of their lives as they said 'I Do' in front of their nearest and dearest in the Bistro.

But as the celebrations got underway, there was a surprise for Billy - and viewers - as the archdeacon got the church wedding he didn't think he could have thanks to a bit of planning by Paul.

Corrie fans may have spotted Paul being slipped some keys by Chesney Brown amid the speeches and cake-cutting and soon, Billy was left shocked to discover his new husband has been keeping a secret from him as they headed outside for a breather.
