Jack Carroll, who was the runner-up on Britain's Got Talent during series seven, has moved to acting and secured a role in Coronation Street - set to hit the small screen just days after Christmas.
The comedian, 25, will be playing Bobby, the son of Carla Connor's brother Rob Donovan, who is currently serving life in prison for the murder of Tina McIntyre.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Jack announced: "Delighted and honoured to announce I’ll be joining the British cultural institution that is @coronationstreet as Bobby, Carla’s nephew.
Hopefully he brings some laughter in the vein of some of the shows classic comedy characters. Swipe for some exclusive pics from the set." Following his successful BGT stint, Jack has made appearances on Saturday Night at the London Palladium, Jason Manford’s Funny Old Week and Live At the Apollo - while he has also completed his first national live tour.
