Coronation Street dedicated its Monday night episode to late actor Johnny Briggs, who played Mike Baldwin, after he died aged 85.
The announcement before the ITV soap started explained the episode was dedicated to the iconic actor, whose death was announced on Sunday.
One fan tweeted: "Awww such a lovely tribute to Johnny Briggs # corrie @ itvcorrie ". Another wrote: "Here we go. With a tribute to the legend that is Johnny Briggs as well,`' while a third penned: "RIP Johnny Briggs # corrie ".
A father-of-six, Johnny was surrounded by family when he died after a long illness. The actor starred in 2,349 episodes of the popular ITV soap and was a major character for 30 years.
