There were heartbreaking scenes in the ITV soap earlier this week as Mason Radcliffe became the victim of a knife attack at the hands of his own brothers after preparing to leave the cobbles behind.
Fans had seen Mason help DS Lisa Swain with her continued enquiry into her late partner Becky's death as she believed his siblings, Matty and Logan, were responsible for her dying in the line of duty.
After helping to get them arrested and questioned, Mason decided his time in Weatherfield was up. But Matty and Logan attacked Mason and Dylan as Mason tried to retrieve some family photos from their flat to take with him to Germany after accepting a job offer from Stu Carpenter.
