Fans of the ITV soap were delighted last year when Carla and Lisa finally gave into their feelings after months of growing closer to one another.
But then, the year got off to a worrying start for Carla as she was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with sepsis. Doctors later confirmed that the infection had badly damaged her kidney, and it's since been confirmed she'll need a transplant seven years after she last faced one.
While scared for her future, Carla has made it clear she doesn't want her family to be donors. However, with Carla's health still in decline, her nephew Bobby was seen thinking that his dad Rob Donovan could be the one to help.
