But after Carla Connor's health took a turn for the worse at the start of the year, Bobby Crawford was seen kickstarting a train of events that has now brought his dad, Rob, back into Carla's life after several years.
Bobby secretly visited his dad in the hope he'd be willing to help Carla and get tested and he'd be a match and donate a kidney to his older sibling - after she was told she'd need a kidney transplant.
