Coronation Street fans have said it's only 'going to get worse' as they were left in tears over some of the show's latest scenes.

Viewers of the ITV soap have made it clear that they're not prepared for Paul Foreman's impending exit after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

The much-loved character was told of the life-shortening disease, in which messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles, in April 2023.

There currently is no cure. Viewers have since been watching the storyline unfold, often with tears in their eyes, as Paul's condition deteriorates with his speech now limited leaving him reliant on his voice banking machine, and him now unable to move and use his arms and legs as he once did.
