Coronation Street fans were left reaching for the tissues following Paul Foreman's heartbreaking storyline. Paul, played by Peter Ash, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) last year and has been struggling more with speech and requiring round-the-clock care in recent months.

Last week, he received a devastating blow when a nurse informed him that it was no longer safe for him to use the stairlift to leave his flat.

On Friday (July 26), the soap aired a special episode dedicated to him, showing viewers the harsh reality of living with MND.

The episode focused entirely on a day in the life of Paul and his husband Billy Mayhew, played by Daniel Brocklebank, as they enjoyed a special day together, reports the Express.
