Coronation Street fans were quick to make the same comparison as they reacted to the news of some new arrivals who are set to shake things up on the cobbles.

Mick and Lou Michaelis will arrive on the street in February, all guns blazing, making life hell for anyone who dares to cross them, with the ITV soap describing them as 'nightmare neighbours'.

The couple will move into Mawdsley Street at the back of Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown's house, which will be the first time ever Corrie have extended the serial drama across the ginnel.

Initially arriving on her own on-screen on February 12, Lou, played by Farrel Hegarty, immediately sparks up a friendship with Gemma as they recognise each other from Bessie Street School, where Gemma’s quads and Lou’s two young daughters attend.
