Coronation Street fans have issued a plea over Gail Platt's exit as she was seen deciding it was time for pastures new during the latest trip to Weatherfield.

As fans of the ITV soap know, Gail will soon be waving goodbye to her family as she leaves the cobbles after 50 years. Acting legend Helen Worth decided to bow out of the role after celebrating five decades on the show earlier this year and her exit will air this Christmas.

But as Corrie viewers also know, there is never a dull moment in the Platt household, but with Gail due her fairytale ending on Christmas Day, will the warring Platt family allow Gail and Jesse their winter wonderland wedding or will family feuds put a stop to Gail riding off into the sunset with her sixth husband?
