Coronation Street exit confirmation leads to tears as character's last scenes have already aired
manchestereveningnews.co.ukThere will be tears in Coronation Street as an exit - and a lengthy one at that - is confirmed. Viewers of the ITV soap last saw Damon Hay in scenes aired last week in which he was involved in a burglary on the order of half-brother Harvey Gaskell.
The bad boy, played by Ciarán Griffiths, had been told by his brother Harvey that he needed to help commit a robbery to keep his partner Sarah Barlow and her children - Bethany and Harry - safe, and whilst he lied to her and told her it was actually happening next week, he took part in the robbery as Harry's birthday party took place - with disastrous consequences.
Thinking the security man was in on the dodgy job, things took an unexpected turn when Harvey's cronies said they wanted to kill him, much to Damon's horror.
He wasn't having any of it and refused but after threatening them with a hammer, they backed off before the police arrived.
