Soap fans will be delighted to hear that Coronation Street and Emmerdale are set to start filming again in June, according to reports.

The ITV soaps stopped filming with immediate effect back in March in order to curb the deadly COVID-19 virus from spreading.

Viewers have had to cope with a reduced frequency of episodes airing each week ever since - and some have been concerned that they may run out before filming starts up again.

With news that Emmerdale is set to run dry by the end of May while Corrie’s episode bank goes in excess of June, the clock is ticking for production to start up again.
