Coronation Street and Emmerdale are set to return to filming in June after a plan was drawn up by ITV bosses to ensure that working conditions are safe for cast and crew.
New rules on set include staying two meters apart, to adhere to social distancing requirements, and filming scenes with smaller groups.
This comes after both of the ITV soaps stopped filming on March 23 when the UK went into lockdown. And with episodes soon to run out from both soaps, ITV are keen to get production up and running in a safe manner, The Sun has reported.
A source told the publication that ITV are sure that they have come up with a solution to keep everyone safe. They continued: "Production is starting up again in June.
