Manchester United fans have praised Kobbie Mainoo's performance against Arsenal's Declan Rice. The United teenager has impressed with his performance in pre-season in central midfield.

Mainoo made his first-team debut against Charlton Athletic in January and his first Premier League outing soon followed against Leicester City.

Mainoo missed the end of the season due to injury and otherwise would have played a larger role. Erik ten Hag has informed Mainoo he won't be going out on loan and instead will stay around the first-team at Old Trafford.

The 18-year-old has started every pre-season match to date and continued his impressive performances against Arsenal. Up against British transfer record Rice, Mainoo was confident and assured on and off the ball.
