Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has said that goalkeeper Nathan Bishop will be "missed by everyone" after sealing a move to Sunderland.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Reds from Southend United in January 2020, finalised his move to the Black Cats on Wednesday, joining for an undisclosed fee.
He has joined the Championship club on a three-year deal. The move to the Stadium of Light should boost Bishop's chances of earning more frequent opportunities after failing to make a single first-team appearance during his time at Old Trafford.
He is expected to rival Anthony Patterson for the No.1 spot on Wearside. Bishop, who was recently part of Erik ten Hag's 31-man squad that visited the United States on United's pre-season tour, spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan at League Two side Mansfield Town, racking up 53 appearances.
