Rafa Sales Ross Guest Contributor Now in its third edition, Content Americas, the Miami-based event aimed at the Latin and Hispanic markets, with telenovelas, series, documentaries, and formats, continues to try to bridge the gap between creative communities in Latin America, Spain and Portugal and the larger global scene.

One of its key initiatives is the Copro Pitch, aimed at facilitating international co-production deals and featuring projects from Caponeto-Fremantle, Vertice 360, and Druzina Content this year.

Selected from more than 60 submissions, the five projects at the Copro Pitch 2025 span a wide range of subjects and genres. Argentina’s Listos Para Rodar arrives in Miami with a documentary series on the mental and physical toll of being a professional athlete in “Insane” while its neighboring country of Brazil bets on the potential of a high-concept sci-fi franchise with Bactéria Filmes and Druzina Content’s “Tales of Tomorrow: Prelude to a Revolution” and the modern Western with Cinefilm’s “The Guardians.” Joining the three projects in the run for a prize of $20,000 worth of marketing to support development and pre-sales promotion are “The Perfect Target” from Mexico’s Caponeto and Spain’s “Lucio’s Treasure,” courtesy of Vertice 360.

Mexico-based production company Caponeto joins forces with Fremantle, the production and distribution powerhouse behind hit formats such as “Got Talent” and “Idols,” for “The Perfect Target,” which sets out to merge the worlds of advertising and politics through humor. “Latin America—and the world at large—is filled with politicians who generate controversy and often become comedic figures,” the producers tell Variety.
