Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic

Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals are the latest big name music festivals to fall foul of the coronavirus pandemic. A health official in California has said that both events will be cancelled despite an easing in lockdown restrictions in the state.

The festivals had already been postponed from April to October in a bid to escape the worst of the health crisis. Coachella, one of the world's biggest music festivals, was due to be headlined by Rage Against the Machine, Frank Ocean and Travis Scott.
