Dr Dre has announced that rare limited-edition collectables will be released in honour of his seminal album ‘The Chronic’s 30th anniversary.Originally released on December 15, 1992, via Death Row and Interscope Records, the classic hip-hop album was re-released on major streaming platforms on February 1, 2023.On Saturday (May 20), Interscope shared a teaser video on Instagram, explaining how they “proudly present ‘The Chronic Masters’, a slow-burn series of limited-edition releases honouring the timeless legacy of this classic.”In collaboration with Trophy and Interscope, ‘The Chronic Masters’ will be comprised of “exclusive drops throughout the year that pay homage to the legendary work of Dr Dre.”The first drop includes three session tape fine-art print offerings photographed by Jeremy Deputat, ‘The Session Tapes’ 1:1 replica set, the Session Tapes Oversized Replicas, and four limited-edition skate decks. The items will be available for sale on June 1 at 12pm PST and 3pm EST.

Cole’s “The Off-Season,” Kanye West’s “Donda” and Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” (although the famous Grammy skeptic decided to withdraw the project before the votes were cast). Now the question remains: Will the streak continue? 

2 Chainz and DJ Premier have reunited on new track ‘Mortgage Free’ – you can listen to it below.The pair first connected back in 2018 on the track ‘Flirt’ taken from ‘PRhyme 2’ – the second collaborative album between Premier and Royce Da 5’9″.‘Mortgage Free’ is the latest track from the Gang Starr producer’s Single Series with Payday Records, which has already seen him collaborate with A$AP Ferg (‘Our Streets’) and Griselda (‘Headlines’).“Since 2 Chainz joined Royce and I on ‘Flirt’, I returned the love back by sending him a beat while he was in the Bahamas with Statik Selektah earlier this year recording for various projects,” Premier said of the track.

Royce Da 5′ 9″ is the latest artist to take on NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series, using the occasion to mark his eighth year of sobriety.Royce’s instalment of series aired on Friday (September 10), consciously coinciding with National Recovery Month in the US.The Grammy-nominated rapper was joined by vocalist Ashley Sorrell, backing singers and a band. They worked their way through ‘God Speed’ and ‘Anything/Everything’ from 2018’s ‘Book Of Ryan’, as well as 2016’s ‘Dead President Heads’ and 2001’s ‘Boom’.Watch the performance below. “This is a special moment for me,” Royce said.

Royce da 5'9''’s new album, The Allegory, features a medley of talent, from Griselda’s BENNY THE BUTCHER, Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine to Vince Staples to Kid Vishis. Shady Records' Slaughterhouse officially called it quits in 2018 due to Joe Budden’s retirement and KXNG Crooked’s departure, but not everyone is ready to give up on the group. In January, Lupe Fiasco expressed his desire to replace Budden, but Royce da 5'9'' recently threw cold water on the idea in a HipHopDX interview.

Eminem has shared who he believes are the greatest rappers of all time. 

Eminem responded to a tweet from YouTuber NoLifeShaq asking, "Who is the greatest rapper of all time." NoLifeShaq's tweet contained a video of himself DM'ing the question to 30 superstar rappers, including Drake, Ice Cube, Travis Scott and 6ix9ine.In a surprise response, Em named rattled off his GOAT list in "no particular order," noting that it's a toss up between Lil Wayne, 2Pac, Royce Da 5'9", Jay-Z, Redman, Treach, Kool G Rap, Notorious B.I.G., and KXNG Crooked.In a follow-up tweet, Slim Shady gave shout-outs to LL Cool J, Nas, Joyner Lucas, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Andre 3000, Rakim, and Big Daddy Kane.This isn't the first time Eminem has shared his top MCs list.
