Members of Extinction Rebellion Stirling took part in a silent and socially distanced protest at the weekend calling on local authorities to divest their pension funds from fossil fuel companies.The protesters made their point outside Stirling Council’s Customer First office in the city centre.An Extinction Rebellion spokesperson said: “Stirling Council declared a Climate Emergency in October last year, but still a Climate Emergency Action Plan with what needs to be done in Stirling to tackle the Climate Crisis has not been published.“Also Stirling Council signed a sustainable growth deal with SEPA including moving towards more ethical investments but nothing has been done about it yet.”Extinction Rebellion say the most recent analysis.
