A cleaning expert has revealed the 'golden rules' when it comes to housework after working in the industry for 10 years. Mum-of-two Libby Denney has been a professional cleaner since she was 18 and knows every trick in the book - from how often you should put washing on to hoovering tips.

The expert suggests that there are certain things that should be done every day - one being boiling your hand towels. The cleaner also recommends that people should use baby muslin cloths rinsed in soapy water to dry dishes, put on a load of washing before work each day and wash children's bedding twice a week.
