Chris Rock’s world tour have reportedly surged after he was slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars 2022.It all kicked off at Hollywood’s biggest night in film when comedian Chris made a joke about Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair.
Jada, 50, has alopecia, and it’s thought that her condition is why Will took offence.Will, 53, stormed the stage, slapping Chris, 57, and swearing at him from his seat.
He has since apologised. The comic’s Ego Death World Tour is set to kick off on April 2 – and, unlike his iconic sitcom would have you believe, clearly not everybody hates Chris.
Following the Oscars drama, ticket sales company TickPick claimed it ‘sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than in the past month combined.’Following his US dates, Chris is set to head to the UK, playing the Royal Albert Hall in May.It’ll be his first tour in the UK in five years, performing in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and London.We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined.Some fellow comedians have also supported Chris ahead of his tour, with Adam Sandler tweeting a promotional snap and tweeting: ‘Can’t wait for this.
