Smith, who later won best actor for his role in King Richard, stormed the Oscars stage after Rock had poked fun at his wife's hair.
After returning to his seat, Will, who went on to win Best Actor later in the evening, yelled: "Keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth." Rock, 57, who was on stage to present an award, looked visibly shocked but appeared unhurt following the slap.
