TV presenter Chris Packham has told politicians to listen to scientists about climate change "before the screaming starts". The conservationist led a protest by more than 100 scientists in Westminster today (September 4).
The group gathered outside the Houses of Parliament to meet MPs. They demanded that no more licences should be issued to extract oil and gas.
Mr Packham said: “Sadly, telling the truth has not been enough, it’s now become necessary for scientists to shout the truth about climate breakdown.
All we ask is that that our principal decision-makers listen before the screaming starts.” READ MORE: What happened to Greater Manchester MPs in the Labour reshuffle? The protesters held signs that read, "The science is clear, no new oil".
