Cheapest UK supermarket for Easter named - and it's not Lidl or Tesco

So heroically, Which? have crunched the numbers ahead of time to figure out which supermarket offers the best value for money.

Including Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, and Ocado, they created a shop that tested the price of everyday essentials as well as options for healthy lunches.

21 items were compared in the two weeks leading up to April 4, and the basket included items such as royal gala apples, bananas, sweet potatoes, own-label peanut butter, hummus, own-label spaghetti, onions and beef mince.
