Including Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, and Ocado, they created a shop that tested the price of everyday essentials as well as options for healthy lunches.
21 items were compared in the two weeks leading up to April 4, and the basket included items such as royal gala apples, bananas, sweet potatoes, own-label peanut butter, hummus, own-label spaghetti, onions and beef mince.
