Labour says its plans to turn the UK into a "clean energy superpower" will drive down household bills for people living in the UK.

Sir Keir Starmer's plans were today laid out in the King’s Speech, which marks the start of the first parliamentary session under the new government.

A number of Bills aimed at funding and supporting the development of renewable energy source were set out before Parliament.

The legislative agenda builds on the promises set out in the party's manifesto ahead of the election, with clean energy being one of the Labour party's central missions for government.
