dailystar.co.ukThe Masked Singer UK with fans finally learning the star behind the voice was Charlotte Church.The ITV talent show returned to screens on Saturday (February 12) for the final showdown with just Mushroom, Panda and Robobunny remaining.As Mushroom gave their performances – including a duet with Aston Merrygold in his Robin get-up, judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan were thoroughly impressed with the rendition of the hit.Weeks of speculation had fans and bookies believing opera sensation Charlotte was the voice behind the mask.Last week fans saw Traffic Cone eliminated as Aled Jones appeared under the elaborate guise, and Rockhopper unveiled as Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams.This series has seen some huge names in the showbiz industry get the chop from the show as they battled it out to reach the final.The first to face the axe was M People star Heather Small, who appeared as Chandelier.Gloria Hunniford was next to be eliminated from the show after Jonathan Ross correctly guessed her identity as Snow Leopard.Chart-topper Will Young then got the chop after he was revealed as the stunning voice inside Lionfish, and he said after his exit that competing on the show was a “brilliant challenge".Bagpipes was then unveiled as the former professional sportsman Pat Cash the following week after judges Davina and Jonathan debated if it was him hiding inside the Scots inspired costume.Making it all the way to the halfway milestone, Poodle was next to be shown the door when he was revealed to be Tom Chaplin from the rock band Keane.Then the quarter-final saw Firework unmasked as Rita Ora’s friend and actress Jaime Winstone, the double-elimination also saw Doughnuts - who turned out to be famous.
