Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.
Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.
Former Celtic star Charlie Nicholas admits he would bin three first-team stars to fund a Parkhead return for Fraser Forster.
The 58-year-old believes the Premiership champions should do everything within their power to secure the services of the England international after his stirring season-long loan from Southampton.
Forster is a player Hoops boss Neil Lennon covets but the Premier League side are expected to command a significant fee for a man who has two years remaining on his deal at St Mary's.
But Nicholas believes he has the perfect solution to secure the services of the keeper while also streamlining the squad and providing a jolt to the club's signing kitty.Get all the latest Celtic news sent straight to your Inbox every day by
