Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Charlie Adam has backed old teammate Steven Gerrard as the right man to bring the glory days back to Rangers - and refused to rule out an emotional return to Ibrox.

The Gers were on course for another campaign without silverware prior to Scottish football being shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak on March 13, trailing league leaders Celtic by 13 points.

Gerrard also saw his charges dumped out of the Scottish Cup by lowly Hearts in February, while only a miracle would see them progress to the last-16 of the Europa League following a 3-1 home defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg.

Nevertheless, Adam has urged supporters to keep the faith with his old Liverpool teammate during a Q&A session on Instagram.
