Michael Beale has outlined the qualities new signing Calvin Bassey can bring to the club. The Ibrox club's tactical system is designed to bring the quality of their full-backs into play and although Borna Barisic and James Tavernier have been excellent, their absence through injury has sometimes knocked the team off kilter.

With Bassey arriving as the first natural back-up of Steven Gerrard 's reign, there is the feeling a glaring issue in the balance of the squad has now been adressed.

And while Beale is hesitant to put too much hype on the shoulders of the 20-year-old he is certain that the youngster can use his power and pace to add value to the club.
