Town hall bosses and police are cracking down on drivers who flout double yellow lines outside schools, putting children’s lives at risk.
Trafford council says it is stepping up enforcement action outside the borough’s schools following concerns over public safety.
The authority and Greater Manchester Police have received complaints that some parents are driving dangerously and parking across driveways and on double yellow lines outside primary schools during drop off and pick up times.
Now, they say the decision has been taken to take more action to help keep children safe. The council has teamed up with GMP to advise parents at various schools to park and drive more considerately at schools and to take enforcement action where this is being ignored.
