Nicki Minaj has been arrested in The Netherlands just hours before her show in Manchester. The gig, at the Co-op Live, was thrown into doubt after Minaj posted on X that she had been detained by police for items in her luggage.

She is due to perform in Manchester tonight, with fans currently inside the arena awaiting her performance. Follow live updates here. Now, Dutch media are reporting that Minaj was arrested.

Speaking to NBC News when asked about Minaj, Robert van Kapel, a spokesman for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, said: "We can confirm that we have arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs." They confirmed at around 7.30pm that she remains under arrest and the force is still investigating. Earlier on Saturday afetrnoon, in a series of social media posts on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram, Minaj, 41, claimed that police said they found drugs in her luggage after items were checked by customs.
